The accreditation from this government body serves as a testament that the online program is legitimate. CAAHEP is the responsible organization in making sure that students are provided proper ultrasound technologist education based on the standards of CAAHEP. For regular ultrasound tech schools or universities, the role of CAAHEP is to make sure that the number of students per classroom is being implemented in order for the schools to develop quality graduates. Accreditation from CAAHEP also ensures the graduates to be qualified in taking credentialing examinations from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
